Frequently clients ask for their new kitchen to be the hub of the home, and this project is a great example of how with considered design it certainly a room really deserves to be called this. The clients wanted a space that centred around their way of living and alabaster-painted Broadoak Shaker cabinetry, soft lighting and a focus on the sociable aspects the designer has tailored the design accordingly. As this is an open-plan design it was important to incorporate plenty of storage so the worktops were clean and uncluttered.
The colour scheme is light and neutral, with subtle tonal variations in the washed timber flooring and pale grey granite adding just the right amount of contrast. The Aga is very much the focal point in terms of colour, the racing green is both warm and relaxing and highlights the stove as being the place that adds warmth to the scheme.
