Although the property had a good size, the separate kitchen and dining rooms made the area feel cramped and the lack of natural light resulted in gloomy areas. The dividing wall was removed and new bright LED downlights were fitted into the newly plastered ceiling to give a more open feel. Additional storage was created with tall larder units that wrap around the corner of the room. A new engineered timber flooring was fitted throughout the area to tie the room together.
If more storage is needed consider replacing a radiator with a plinth heater to give back wall space for additional units.
