Three becomes one in this project. Originally three rooms, incorporating dining room, kitchen and utility room, the clients wanted to create a larger open-plan space. They chose the Milbourne painted range, for its simple, Shaker styling and teamed chalk and charcoal for a classic monochrome look. The island is very much the focal point of design, surfaced in oak timber it adds lots of warmth to the scheme. It’s where the clients love to spend time with their grandchildren, all gathered together chatting, baking and cooking. The bespoke, slatted oak open shelf end creates storage and is an open feature that also prevents the island from feeling too overpowering.
There’s an immense amount of features that make this kitchen a pleasure to work in. The sink run includes a bespoke chopping surface, integrated dishwasher, integrated recycling bins, and is ended with two single ovens in a tower, an entirely ergonomic layout.
