From beautiful islands and tailored breakfast bars, to wine coolers and even integrated dog beds, if you can dream it, our specialist Second Nature retailers can create it!
At Second Nature, we pride ourselves on the ability to bring your kitchen dreams to life, with our network of specialist, independent retailers across the UK, ready to design a kitchen tailored to your individual needs.
The beauty of going to an independent retailer is they can take the time to get to know you, your tastes, ideas and lifestyle, so your experience is personal and your kitchen is designed truly to suit you. So, whether your request is something as simple as having enough storage space, or if it’s something a little more unique, like a place for your dog to sleep, our experts are on hand to make your dream a reality.
Check out some of the smart ways our retailers have catered for their customers’ kitchen needs:
When a customer requested a large dining area to suit their sociable lifestyle, Interiors 4 Living, one of our specialist retailer in Leeds, designed this stunning Fitzroy kitchen with a statement island and integrated dining table. They wanted something clean and contemporary, but something a little different and with the wow factor. The island was a real investment, with Copse Green doors, quartz worktop and a bespoke oak table- perfect for entertaining in style and hosting the family for evening meals.
A bed for man’s best friend
Heart of Your Home Kitchens in Clitheroe were excited to design this unique kitchen for a client, when they requested a space for their beautiful dog Mitzi to relax amongst the hustle and bustle of their regular dinner parties.
The beautiful Fitzroy island, which also has space for the client’s grandchildren to sit at the breakfast bar while she cooks, includes a clever cut-out area for Mitzi’s dog bed to sit comfortably, meaning she can be involved in the action while staying tucked safely away.
Our Second Nature specialists at Aristrocraft Kitchens in Brierly Hill did an excellent job of creating statement storage for their client, when they dreamt of a contemporary dresser unit to cater for their stylish interior décor tastes and artefacts.
Aristocraft also had to tackle the challenge of creating a feature island around a supporting column in the room. Instead of allowing this to hinder their design, they worked with the client to incorporate the column into the plans, making it a vital electrical access point.
When a client wanted a space to dine and prepare food, while keeping the two areas defined with stylish but durable statement worktops, Fineline Interiors in Oldham created this beautiful Porter feature island with tiered zones to balance both activities.
Although this kitchen is spacious, the client doesn’t have to walk far because of constant kitchen zone planning- the perfect balance of attractive and practical.
This sleek, modern Remo kitchen was designed by Dovetail Kitchens in Clapham, including a bespoke V shaped island with matching drop down ceiling feature, to suit the open plan layout of the client’s kitchen/dining room.
The customers were a young family that requested a fresh, modern kitchen with a contemporary simplicity. They loved that the symmetrical design allowed them deep pan drawers and unique triangular cupboards, and
the icing on the cake was the LED colour changing lights which the client’s little son loved changing on a daily basis!
Appliances were really important to the client in this project from ICE Interior Ltd in Lymington. They wanted a contemporary scheme for their new open plan kitchen extension- so, clever, integrated electrical appliances, like the hidden extractor fan and the EVOline hidden socket, were the perfect, practical additions to the statement island.
At Second Nature, we believe you deserve to have the kitchen of your dreams, no matter the shape or size of your space. Fineline Interiors did an amazing job of maximising the space for their client in this Porter kitchen, even managing to fit a practical island unit with extra worktop space and storage as the client requested, despite restricted space.
Working with the space
For this family, it was important that their new kitchen was designed around the beautiful character of the room, making the most of the vast open space and emphasising the statement skylight. Wilson & Drummond Ltd in Thornaby took on the challenge, creating this Ellerton kitchen in contrasting Charcoal and designing a standout island feature that matches the size of the focal skylight for stunning effect.
