The Brief

The original kitchen was a dated 60’s design and the clients were keen to inject a contemporary feel into this important room. The project involved knocking through to the utility area to enlarge the space to create a breakfast bar area for informal dining. Porter Alabaster is light and fresh so achieves the modern look and makes the kitchen feel spacious yet with a very functional and ergonomic design.

Designer's Tips

Using a lighter tone for the furniture sets a neutral backdrop on which to contrast colours and texture.  In this kitchen tan brown worktops mix beautifully with the alabaster, while the red is a vivid accent colour to add a sense of fun to the scheme.
