The Brief

The clients, with a busy lifestyle, wanted to reconfigure their room arrangements to create an open-plan kitchen that was both functional and sociable, with a feeling of space and freedom of movement.  The designer recommended knocking through existing dividing walls to achieve this.  The clients were set on a very contemporary style, with striking features to add individuality to the design. Opting for the handleless Tomba Porcelain range, a stunning yet very ergonomic curved peninsular perfectly delivers the tailored look.  Graphite cabinetry is used as an accent area to inject contrast in the colour scheme, with the wall units beautifully lit for further design appeal.

Designer's Tips

The peninsular is a great example of form meeting function, as not only is this an entirely practical space for cooking and prep, but it also includes seating which was very important to introduce the social ambience to the design.
