The Brief

The clients wanted the new kitchen in their new-build home to make a design statement yet still have an easy-living feel to it.  The designer recommended the handleless Tomba range to create a beautifully shaped island that would become the focal point of the scheme.  As this is very much the main living space in the home the colour palette for the kitchen had to work throughout the other zones in the room, the grey flooring throughout was chosen to co-ordinate with the worktops.

Designer's Tips

To avoid the design becoming too sterile, the blend of worktops create definition through both the colours and textures. The timber breakfast bar area adds warmth and a natural element while the grey-toned quartz worktops are practical with a strong visual contrast to the white cabinetry.
