A wall was removed between the existing kitchen and an unused dining room to create the large cooking, dining & socialising space that was exactly the layout the client wanted. An artist, his brief was for a light, contemporary and streamlined design, the Remo White and Elm cabinetry achieves this look with the pale-porcelain floor tiles complementing the scheme.
Rather than a traditional table and chairs, a peninsular with high stools was chosen for a more modern and informal seating arrangement. There’s a considered mix of lighting in the scheme with ceiling spotlights, uplighters on the wall units and downlights beneath the peninsular. The client added his own artwork to the scheme with a statement flamingo which complements the claret-toned feature wall.
