The Brief

The clients added an extension to their property to create a contemporary, open-plan kitchen that benefited from lots of natural light from the bi-fold doors and rooflights.  Their previous kitchen was an oak Shaker with black granite so the new design was a complete departure from this with a much fresher and modern feel.  The sleek lines of Remo Porcelain achieve this look, enhanced with the Silestone quartz worktops, with the dark-grey glass splashback and vivid-pink, yellow and blue chairs adding contrast to the pale colour scheme.

Designer's Tips

The American-styled breakfast bar is just the place for socialising, with the working area enjoying the view out to the garden. The design incorporates multiple pan drawers to maximise storage as well as a tall pull-out larder.
