The Brief

The clients’ original kitchen was very dated and felt dark and cramped.  The new design is stunning transformation. It’s hard to believe it is the same space!  As well as injecting an immense amount of light into the room, the Remo gloss white cabinetry has distinctly modern appeal. Teamed with the red free-standing fridge and bright blue splashback the scheme has a retro edge to it and a sense of fun. There’s an abundance of storage, including a bank of tall units and a bespoke shallow depth dresser with protruding doors.

Designer's Tips

The designer recommended an accent area in linear oak which creates a calming highlight and, coupled with the inset birch end grain chopping board, adds warmth to the interior.  The curved peninsular is not only home to additional storage, but features a nook where two stools tuck neatly under the surface.
