The Brief

The clients had a focused brief for their new kitchen, a contemporary design that was streamlined.  The styling is minimal but by choosing the cashmere-toned Remo cabinetry there is a lovely warmth in the scheme.  It was important to have a seating area as they wanted the kitchen to have a strong social element and the peninsular has created the ideal perch point whilst also giving the clients more space for cooking.

Designer's Tips

To add some personality to the scheme the clients chose a brightly-coloured wallpaper behind the breakfast bar. This coordinates perfectly with the smart, punchy-orange high stools injecting character to the overall design.
