The Brief

The clients live in a period home but were not afraid to unite the old with the new when they totally transformed their kitchen.  Their previous kitchen was a dark oak and felt tired and old fashioned and the brief was to really brighten up the space.  The lighter Remo handleless units, in a gentle cashmere gloss finish, have injected a modern feel and enhanced the sense of space.

Designer's Tips

To maximise worktop preparation space and storage the designer recommended housing the oven, microwave and fridge/freezer in a bank of units which allowed for more deep drawers in the main kitchen area.  The walls are painted in a heritage blue and teamed with the pale timber flooring unites the classic with the modern.
