The clients’ brief was to create a contemporary, stylish space which was in keeping with the rest of the property. As well as being a functional kitchen, the space had to work well as a room for socialising with friends and family. The designer recommended the large peninsular, which is the ideal spot for people to gather. The Remo gloss cabinetry, in an alabaster finish, not only fits the clients’ taste for modern styling but also, being a light neutral tone, creates a perfect backdrop to contrast other materials and colours. Ample storage was a must and there’s a host of hidden systems such as a 300 base unit, pan drawers and a pull-out waste bin.
The kitchen links through to the dining and lounge areas and on to the conservatory so the clients wanted to have a cohesive and relaxing colour scheme. They chose coral clay Silestone quartz worktops adding to the calming ambience. This gentleness is echoed in the internal curved cabinetry and curved pilasters which soften the lines. The specified appliances reflect the clients’ passion for entertaining, including an induction hob, feature extractor and a generous American fridge freezer.
