Kitchen style used

The Brief

Our clients wanted a contemporary style kitchen with a clean handleless rail system as demonstrated in our Biography collection. Mixing colours of matt Dove Grey and Graphite was quickly chosen, and tuned in perfectly with our client’s ideas.

A light Quartz worktop and a feature glass door completed the look along with a glass splashback above the range cooker.

Lots of clever storage solutions were required, so space was maximised by installing taller height units along one side of the kitchen. The kitchen included a Le Mans corner solution, along with a Tandem Larder which sat next to an American Fridge Freezer.

Our client wanted to utilise the far end of their kitchen for a casual seating area, so a modern dresser arrangement was created which had LED lit glass wall units and reduced depth base units were installed with a T Shaped peninsular breakfast bar area.

Designer's Tips

To our clients, the flow of the kitchen was very important, so an island was installed with seating on just one side so that the other side which was opposite the integrated ovens could be kept clear for food preparation purposes.

The aid in the flow of the kitchen and to achieve a contemporary and minimalistic look, lots of effective storage was used such as pan drawers, Blum space larder, pull-out larder and a pull-out waste bin. A built-in extractor over the oven hob is discreet and effective which added to the contemporary look in the kitchen.

To add warmth and a homely feel to a contemporary kitchen, try adding oak accents to the room such as flooring, furniture and shelving.
