The clients wanted to create a luxury retreat in their 1930’s Brighton apartment, and the brief was for a ‘Art Déco Cruise Liner’ feel. The glossy tones of the Porter Beige range, coupled with the soft curved cabinetry achieved the ambience and visual appeal they wanted. It has a sense of understated glamour but with a layout that’s practical and ergonomic.
The design has a deliberate open feel, enhanced by the glass illuminated shelving in a contrasting blue to add more interest to the scheme. The ceiling spot lights are cleverly inserted in to a boxing that exactly mirrors the layout of the kitchen. The theme of the design was followed through in the choice of the extractor.
