The clients’ brief was to modernise the existing kitchen and incorporate a rarely-used breakfast room. Ultimately they wanted to create a more social focus for their family as well as improve the functional aspects of the kitchen. A feature island was central to the new design together with maximising the space available. They opted for the Milton in-frame cabinetry and teamed this with natural oak full-staved worktops for a warm and welcoming feel.
The doorway through to the original breakfast room was removed and a square arch created to open up the space and provide a better flow through to the conservatory. The new kitchen exudes warmth and the classic design is enhanced with a mantle over the range cooker. The clients love their new kitchen, including features such as the additional sink, with filtered and chilled water on tap, is positioned close to the refrigeration and tea-making area.
