The Brief

The clients loved the classic feel of in-frame cabinetry but didn’t want the look to be too traditional. They opted for the painted Milton range, which ticks all their boxes for a light and airy kitchen but with a timeless style. Solid oak worktops contrast beautifully and add a natural element to the scheme.

Designer's Tips

Although this is very much a cook’s kitchen it was important to have a casual seating area to grab a quick bite to eat in the morning so the small breakfast bar fits the bill perfectly.  The designer was faced with a very tight space in the corner to return a wall unit so he cleverly incorporated a spice rack that not only adds a bespoke feel to the kitchen but is handy storage too.
