The clients had commissioned building work to reorganise a slightly awkward ground floor layout, removing original walls dividing the previous kitchen and dining room. Working closely with the designer, several options were considered for the new kitchen, and the island layout was favoured over a peninsular scheme. The clients wanted a classic feel, but very much designed for modern family living and the Milton range, painted in a light, neutral stone was exactly the look they had in mind. As keen cooks appliances were key to the design and the design includes a double oven, warming drawer, wide induction hob and chimney extractor. Quartz worktops complement the cabinetry and are the perfect surface for food preparation.
As this is a long room it was important to create a consistent theme throughout, to unify the space and enhance its social and inviting ambience. Feature patterned wallpaper is used at either end of the room, creating an easy-living aesthetic.
