This elegant Milton in-frame kitchen is set in a beautiful, detached, family home in a historic Kent village. Located in a new extension, the clients were keen to make the best use of the space available, with a generous amount of storage, to ensure the room always looks at its best. The social aspect of the kitchen was key to the layout and the island is the perfect place for a seating area to add to the welcoming ambience of the interior. The designer recommended storage below the seating area, in the form of radius base cabinets with a clever Le Mans storage solution positioned in the corner base unit. The colour scheme is understated and timeless, with the Milton cabinetry in partridge grey, complemented with slim 20mm thick white quartz worktops. A contrasting Cemento quartz is used on the island, creating a subtle industrial colour to the interior.
LED strip lighting has been fitted around the underside of the island worktop, which really highlights the focal point of the design. The appliances have been well considered with the downdraft extractor being the perfect choice to ensure the lines are clean and uninterrupted.
