The Brief

This stunning kitchen was the culmination of a major renovation of a derelict barn, which was sympathetically converted to become a family home. The kitchen had to be in keeping with the architecture of the property and the Milton Oak and Alabaster combination is the perfect compliment to the rustic oak open beams.  The client is delighted and loves how the design makes such a huge impact and with interesting design features including split-level surfaces and timber worktops.

Designer's Tips

The kitchen was not only the hub of the family home but as the client is also the owner of a farm shop the kitchen is used on a daily basis for her business. Hence, a key challenge was incorporating such a large cooker and mantle into the limited wall runs. The kitchen has a wonderful warm and welcoming feel and features a casual seating space for informal get-togethers.
