This new build property allowed the clients the luxury of space to create a kitchen that would enhance the building’s modern architecture but at the same be the focal point of the home. A chocolate and cream colour combination creates warmth in the interior with granite worktops and stone flooring adding a natural feel to the scheme. The bi-fold doors leading to the garden bring the outside in.
In a large kitchen be careful not to overpower the space with a strong colour, which could feel oppressive and heavy. Instead, a contrasting mix of materials and colours will keep the scheme airy, as in this design where deep walnut full height doors add a rich accent but the ivory lightens the tone. Similarly, as shown to great effect here, split-level and curved cabinets will also break up the lines and personalise the design.
