The Brief

The clients wanted to create practical layout in their kitchen and the designer recommended a u-shape design to maximise the space. This works perfectly for them with the peninsular being a focal point of the scheme where they can relax, have a coffee or a bite to eat.  The Milbourne Shaker range, in a stone-painted finish, achieves the classic ambience they desired.

Designer's Tips

A mix of worksurface materials adds both visual interest and functionality. The quartz surface is very hardwearing and practical for food preparation with the timber breakfast bar adding a natural element and also being warmer to lean on.
