The Brief

The clients, a young family, had converted their garage into an open-plan kitchen living room.  They really wanted the space to be very sociable, with a friendly and inviting ambience.  They chose the Milbourne kitchen, in a stone-painted finish and paired this with lightly-toned acrylic worktops for a fresh, clean look.  The tall units are home to a Neff slide-away oven and microwave, coupled with copious amounts of storage. To add warmth, to the scheme, accents of oak create a beautiful contrast.

Designer's Tips

The design deliberately keeps wall cabinets to a minimum, this really enhances the sense of space.   The L-shaped seating area on the island is the perfect place for the family to spend time together.
