The Brief

The property is a new build so the clients were able to start from scratch and work with their designer to create exactly the look, feel and functionality they wanted from their new kitchen.  Working to a tight budget, the Milbourne Shaker range was the perfect choice, being an affordable range, but with the look and feel of a painted timber. They opted for an elegant mix of slate and stone painted cabinetry. ow pull outs maximising those awkward areas.

Designer's Tips

There were a number of practical requirements to fulfil with the design, one being to create an island that would double up as a communal focus in the scheme.  The designer recommended a distinctive zone for seating, this is surfaced in oak so is warm to lean on and ideal for the children to sit at.  Generous storage is delivered through a considered mix of cabinets and wide drawers, together with a Le Mans corner system and narrow pull outs maximising those awkward areas.
