The Brief

The clients wanted to update their kitchen with a timeless design and loved the clean simple lines of the Milbourne range.  They chose trenchcoat grey as the key colour for the cabinetry, with the wall cabinets painted in alabaster to lighten the scheme.  To keep within their budget they opted for laminate worktops, which have a very authentic looking natural polished stone finish and contrast beautifully with the cabinetry.

Designer's Tips

The room is quite small and an awkward shape and clients were delighted when the designer came up with some great solutions to maximise space and add interest to the design.  The staircase created a challenging angle on the ceiling however a wine rack was designed around this and creates a bespoke feature.  A plate rack and open shelving breaks up the wall units and adds a decorative display area to the scheme.
