This kitchen was for a busy family home where the clients are keen cooks. They wanted a traditional look but designed for modern living, with plenty of smart storage for foodstuffs and utensils. This included a mid-height larder system, corner storage solution and handy 150mm wide pull-out units. They opted for the Lyndon Oak design which has a solid feel but in a simple Shaker style. The worktops are contemporary white chipped-mirror quartz worksurfaces with matching upstands, which add a fresh feel to the scheme.
As the kitchen is small and narrow it was a challenge to incorporate all the clients’ requirements, however with careful planning this was achieved. As well as a larder fridge, dishwasher, under-counter freezer and dual fuel range and extractor the designer also managed to discreetly hide away an existing washing machine behind doors to keep the design seamless.
