The clients had completely refurbished their old property and as part of the project knocked two rooms into one to create a larger open space for their new family kitchen. The brief was to make this room the hub of their busy home, including an island and separate dining table. The Langham range was chosen for its simplicity and timeless styling, painted in a neutral stone finish and surfaced with contrasting brown granite. Traditional touches include a Belfast sink and range cooker but two modern Neff ovens add additional cooking solutions for large gatherings of family and friends.
The new chimney breast was created from natural bricks, finished off with a sandstone lintel that matches the existing solid sandstone doorway surrounds. The dresser and solid oak worktops give an informal look to the room and add character to the scheme. An American fridge/freezer is flanked by tall pull-out larders for easily accessible storage.
