The clients were initially thinking of an oak Shaker kitchen but after seeing the Cornell Classic range they changed their mind, preferring the light painted finish of this design. Their previous kitchen featured a peninsula breakfast bar which segregated the room. The designer recommended an island and with careful consideration she included internal curved doors, to ensure there was sufficient room to comfortably walk around it. The clients opted for the beautiful Labrador antique granite, with the wood sections creating a stunning contrast.
The American fridge freezer was a problem because of its depth and size but with the careful planning of the island design this was overcome. With two teenage children in the home the new kitchen is a hit with everyone, especially the island where they all love to socialise and spend time with friends and family.
