The Brief

The clients had recently returned to the UK following 15 years living in barn conversion in Normandy.  The existing kitchen in their home was a dated 1980s design, with a separate dining room, and they found this restricted the usable space in the kitchen.  The brief was to bring their much-loved French classic style to middle England, with the aim of the kitchen complementing their French rustic furniture.  The Cornell Classic range, with its distressed finish suited the interior perfectly and by opening up the space the room is now light and welcoming.

Designer's Tips

The solid oak worktops not only add instant warmth to the scheme but for the clients, are a nod to the rustic barn they left inFrance.  There’s a wealth of storage in this design, ensuring the worktops are clutter-free, with glazed feature cabinets creating the perfect place to display chosen pieces.
