The Brief

The clients' new build home included a large room which they earmarked for an open plan living and working space where the whole family could come together. Opting for Cornell Classic (which they fell in love with when they saw the display in the showroom window) this perfectly suited the traditional style of their home whilst incorporating modern appliances such as steam and combination ovens. Black granite worktops acted as a stunning contrast to the floor, walls and cabinetry.

Designer's Tips

In a large space, such as this, getting the design and practical aspects right is critical. This whole kitchen had to be usable so has a triangle design shape, with a dining table area plus ample seating. Symmetry was also very important as well as having plenty of light in the space, the use of glass and reflective surfaces enhances the space and creates more light in the room.
