The Brief

The client, an interior designer and keen cook, had a clear idea of the look she wanted to achieve.   The overriding theme was one of simplicity and nature, so the Broadoak cabinetry set the scene with the earthy painted tones of Farrow and Ball Elephant’s Breath and Charlestone Grey adding to the natural feel of this design.  The quartz worktop complements the neutral colour scheme with the flooring unifying all the surfaces and finishes.

Designer's Tips

There were 2 key challenges with this project, the first being keeping the island unit balanced within the space, which was quite tight. Secondly, the client wanted to encompass as many design features as possible without it looking over the  top and all within a budget of £15,000.  All this was achieved and the result is a considered and timeless design that has a distinctly bespoke feel.
