The Brief

The clients had recently moved in to their new home and wanted to update the kitchen to make it more sociable. The brief was for an elegant design that would have a welcoming and relaxing feel.  They opted for the Shaker-styled Broadoak range with Farrow & Ball old white as the main colour for the cabinetry, with London Clay as an accent tone for the island.

Designer's Tips

The clients were keen to make their kitchen a social hub so the island features two seating areas as well as a wine cooler for entertaining.  Granite has been used as the main worktop material but in the seating areas the surface is timber which is warmer to the touch.
