This project is in a detached new-build property so the clients had the luxury of a blank canvas. They had a very good idea of the type of layout and colour scheme that would work for them. With a large, open space there was room to include a multi-functional island. The clients chose the Shaker-style Broadoak range for the cabinetry with the main run of units in an ivory finish. They opted for a vivid purple for the wall paint and this became the deciding factor for the colour of the island.
The island is split level with an area for food preparation and the lower zone for dining. To add interest, and soften the lines, the design has a curved element. The worktops feature a beautiful lightly-toned granite which complement the ivory cabinetry and create a stunning contrast to the purple.
