The Brief

The clients, a young couple, lived in a newly built house and they wanted to have a neutral-toned scheme throughout the house.  They opted for the simplicity and clean lines of the Broadoak Shaker design as they wanted to create a light and spacious feel to their kitchen and loved the natural colours available in the painted palette. They chose the chalk and partridge grey colours to carry out the neutral theme in the kitchen, but with a contrasting charcoal for the island and breakfast bar as the central focus of the room.

Designer's Tips

Although design has a simplicity about it, there’s a modern edge, which is introduced with the stainless steel handles which add a more sleek, contemporary accent. Careful use of LED lighting, especially under the cabinets and along the plinths, enhance the feeling of space in the room.
