The Brief

The client, a young teacher, wanted a fresh look for the kitchen in her new home.  She opted for the Shaker-style Broadoak in the warm, neutral Almond finish.  With an eye for detail she chose the beautiful river white granite worktops and co-ordinating splashback and upstand for a cohesive feel. Red is the accent colour, which is used with consideration so as to create personality without being overpowering.

Designer's Tips

To add a bespoke element to a design consider shaping the worktops, in this kitchen the breakfast bar is curved, which softens the lines.  Other individual design touches in this scheme include the handy lowered seating area which is both a practical and pretty feature.
