The Brief

The clients were keen to improve the socialising opportunities with their new kitchen but they also wanted a central island for additional preparation space.  They are delighted with the new design, which not only incorporates a table and chairs and the island but has a lovely open feel. The simply styled Broadaok Shaker furniture has a classic ambience.

Designer's Tips

To introduce warmth and a sense of nature the designer proposed timber worktops which contrast beautifully with the alabaster painted cabinetry.  To maximise worktop space the designer suggested locating the butler’s sink in the island and the clients are delighted with this solution.
