L-shaped kitchens can create unique challenges – but with a bit of creativity these can be overcome to deliver a stylish and functional kitchen.

L-shaped kitchens are at their best when streamlined and minimal. For this reason most designs feature few, if any, wall cabinets. Whatever cabinetry present may be handleless or have rounded edges.

The lighting and the framing of window views are key to success, with the sink often placed below the window, bringing light and space into the design.
