Bold bright kitchen
Bright Shelving

A simple splash of colour

Although it might still seem like we’re in the depths of winter thanks to the ‘Beast from the East’, yesterday actually marked the first day of Spring. To celebrate the *fingers crossed* imminent arrival of sunshine and blue skies, we’ve listed a few easy tips to ensure your kitchen waves goodbye to the winter blues (and quick)!

As those dark nights draw to a close and sunshine slowly starts to beam through the curtains, bright, bold pops of colour are an easy alternative to replace those dark winter hues.

Luckily colour can be added in many creative ways!

Try adding colourful shelving or eye-catching artwork to neutral walls. Or add a few bright accessories which can make a cheerful difference, including tea towels, oven gloves, cutlery or glasses.

Statement Brights

Make a statement! Experiment with colour and paint one feature wall a bright, bold hue, or even consider updating your kitchen blinds or curtains with on-trend, block colours or patterns.

For a quicker injection of colour, try investing in small appliances - a fun toaster or kettle can subtly change the look of a kitchen.

A bold investment

Feeling braver? Colour can also be added through your larger kitchen appliances - Rangemaster and Smeg are just some of the appliance brands that have recently launched new and exciting seasonal colours.

Or how about investing in some quality crockery - check out the latest colours from brands such as Le Creuset to add ultimate luxury and excitment to your Spring kitchen.

However, if those colour changes aren’t enough, take a chance and treat yourself to an entire new kitchen (in a new colour of course).

Embrace Florals

Nothing signifies Spring better than freshly cut flowers. Take advantage of bright beautiful colours to liven up a neutral palette.

For an additional tip, place them in prominent places, popular walkways or regularly used rooms, so you can walk past them on a regular basis, smell spring, and smile as they bloom.

Bring the outdoors in

Get green fingered and make your own little indoor herb garden full of basil, coriander, parsley, peppermint or lavender to name a few!
